【WOS】搜尋會議論文的平均被引用次數

Web of Science核心合輯收錄許多專輯，

陽明交大訂購其中的三大專輯：

1.Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-EXPANDED) – 涵蓋150多個學科的8,850多種主流期刊
2.Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) – 涵蓋55個社會科學學科的3,200多種期刊，以及從3,500種世界頂尖期刊中節選的內容
3.Conference Proceedings Citation Index- Science & Social Science & Humanities (CPCI-S) – 該跨學科索引工具，可從180,000多種會議論文集中獲得最前沿、最具影響力的研究

以會議，Asian Conference on Machine Learning(ACML)，為例，算出在WOS平均被引用次數，步驟如下：

步驟一：從圖書館資料庫檢索中，輸入WOS，進入Web of Science核心合輯

步驟二：進入Web of Science核心合輯

步驟三：在研討會的選單中輸入會議名稱

步驟四：點選「建立引用文獻報告」

步驟五：在報告中可看出每年平均引用次數為28

步驟六：若想看出近五年的引用次數，請匯出Excel表單

步驟七：將1-79筆記錄匯出

步驟八：自Excel表單中篩選2014-2018的引用次數，加總再除以5，即可得出近5年的平均引用次數

常見問題：

Q1：以會議論文，Asian Conference on Machine Learning，為例，為何有些年有收錄？有些年沒有？

A1：會議論文集是否被CPCI收錄，需要會議主辦方將出版的會議論文集提交給編輯團隊進行評審，如若publisher沒有主動提交這一屆的論文集，或者編輯評審後覺得這一屆的會議論文質量未達到CPCI的收錄標準，就不會收錄這一屆的會議。所以可能會出現同一個會議，有的年收錄，有的年未收錄的情況。具體也可參考以下英文解釋：

conferences are indexed selectively in Web of Science Core Collection such that proceedings of individual instances of a conference are evaluated by our editorial team (if submitted to us by the publisher/organizers). This means that the presence of indexed conferences from earlier years in the database does not necessarily mean that all the volume issues of the same conference will be selected and indexed by us.
