【Supporting Research】Accessing E-Resources with OpenAthens

What is OpenAthens?

NYCU Library employs OpenAthens as its single sign-on authentication service, facilitating seamless access to subscription-based electronic resources both on and off campus.

This authentication system allows authorized users to conveniently log in using their Library credentials, ensuring effortless access to research materials and services.

Please note that access to electronic resources is restricted to current faculty, staff, and students. For detailed borrowing permissions, please refer to the relevant regulations for E-Resources at Borrowing privileges.

Why OpenAthens?

  1. Direct login options are available on publisher or journal sites.
  2. Enhanced usage statistics provided by OpenAthens assist NYCU Library in making informed collection decisions while ensuring user privacy.
  3. Once logged in to one subscription-based library resource through OpenAthens, you can access others without needing to log in again, maintaining your login status for up to 8 hours unless you close your browser.
