Course Reading List Guide for Instructional Staff

l. Procedure description

i. MANAGING Course Reading List

  1. Log in to E3 .
  2. Create a new NYCU Reading List.
  3. Adding resources from the library within the “Course Reading List”, or use Cite It! You can also add a citation manually.
  4. Submit your List to the library for review and processing.
  5. Publish your List to make it viewable to your students.

ii. Set physical collection as Course Reserves

  1. After logging in to the E3, find the physical collection you want to set as a reference in your course reserves and reading list content;
  2. Select the tag: Course Reserves.

ll. Establish and Manage Course Reserves and Reading List

(1.) Added course reserves and reading lists

Firstly, log in to the E3 and then complete the addition as following:

(2). Add collaborators

You need to designate students as teaching assistants on the E3 first, as shown below:

Subsequently, add the teaching assistant as a collaborator by following the reading list in your course guidelines.

(3). Submit the course reserves and reading list

Only by pressing Library Review, the library can assist with related settings.

(4). Publish the course reserves and reading lists

(5). Use the roll over list function to reuse course reserves and reading lists

III. Add and Manage list content

(1). Utilize the library catalog search

(2). Utilize Cite It!

(3). Utilize blank form

(4). Delete content

(5). Set physical collections as course reserves
