National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University has entered into a transformative agreement with The Company of Biologists to support NYCU researchers in Open Access publishing. Under this agreement, articles published in five eligible journals between 2024 and 2026 are exempt from APCs. Researchers are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.

Read & Publish agreement descriptions

To support our university’s researchers in publishing in Open Access (OA) journals, enhance article visibility, and increase individual academic impact, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University has signed a transformative agreement with Taylor & Francis. Under this agreement, authors who submit to Taylor & Francis hybrid journals from 2024 to 2026 can publish without paying the Article Processing Charge (APC). We encourage you to make full use of this opportunity!

Eligible criteria

• • The corresponding author must be affiliated with National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University.

  • The article’s accepted date must fall between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2026.

  • Eligible article type: Original research articles.

  • A total of 30 OA articles in 2024, 33 articles in 2025, and 36 articles in 2026 can be published without APCs.

Find a Journal is available on Springer Nature. If authors already have a manuscript abstract, they may use this tool to search for journals that match their topic and may be eligible for APC support under the institutional agreement.

英國物理學會 (Institute of Physics)，簡稱IOP。陽明交通大學為物理研究推動中心(PRPC)的IOP聯盟會員，PRPC與IOP簽訂轉換協議，2024-2026年，陽明交通大學通訊作者投稿符合協議之IOP期刊以OA方式出版，免付文章處理費。

The Institute of Physics is referred to as IOP. National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University is an IOP consortium member of the Physics Research Promotion Center (PRPC). PRPC has entered into a transformative agreement with IOP. From 2024 to 2026, corresponding authors from NYCU publishing in eligible IOP journals via OA are exempt from Article Processing Charges (APCs).

Services

Since 2023, NYCU corresponding authors submitting to IEEE Fully OA journals have enjoyed APC discounts. Starting in 2026, submissions to any IEEE OA journals (Fully OA or Hybrid OA) are eligible for the discount.

Individual IEEE societies may adjust APCs or offer special member discounts at their discretion. The final amount displayed in the RSLC system prevails, and only one discount can be applied per article.

Eligibility for Submission Discounts

1. Corresponding author must be a faculty, staff, or student at NYCU.
2. Submission must use a NYCU email or select “National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University” as the affiliation.
3. Article Accepted Date must be between Jan 1 – Dec 31, 2026.

Eligible Journals & APC

For 2026, eligible journals are mainly divided into two categories:

Fully OA (Gold OA)

1. Includes cross-disciplinary OA journals (e.g., IEEE Access) and Topical OA journals.
2. Discounted APC: USD 1,728 (converted to TWD at payment).
3. See the 2026 IEEE Fully OA Journal List for details.

Hybrid OA (Hybrid Journals)

1. Applies to hybrid OA journals.
2. Discounted APC: USD 2,240 (converted to TWD at payment).
3. Excludes: Color Figures Charges, Voluntary Page Charges, Overlength Page Charges.
